Bar 117 (designed by Abbink X Co) opened it’s doors for the first time this week for the premiere of Boom Chicago’s latest show: The 7 Deadly Dutch Sins‘. Alderman Caroline Gehrels congratulated Boom Chicago, celebrating 20 successful years of improv theatre in Amsterdam and their move to the monumental movie theatre on the Rozengracht 117 which is 100 years old this year.  After orchestrating a 1-day make-over from a run-down theatre to a working location for the ‘Baby I like it Raw’ show, Abbink X Co designed and coordinated the transformation of the foyer from the bare basics to the fully operational Bar 117 in a very short space of time.
