Abbink X Co chatted for over 7 hours with many locals on the Vijzelgracht last week about the sketch designs for the 3 car lift houses. All types of neighbours and entrepreneurs passed by to voice their opinion on the designs. Despite the Lifthouses being a tiny part of a larger, very sensitive inner city development and the neighbourhood being renown for it’s outspoken views, we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and support for our designs – this is what we do it for!

Abbink X Co will now continue with the preliminary design in collaboration with the locals and representatives of the small businesses that define this historical & dynamic neighborhood of Amsterdam, which is filled with sensitive cultural heritage.
