We were one of the eight Dutch offices selected to take part in the BNA/Dutch DFA Dutch-Turkish matchmaking program in Istanbul. Teams of Dutch and Turkish designers worked in Istanbul for 2 days on 2 major urban regeneration locations in Kartal and Küçükçekmece. The results were presented to TOKI amongst other guests. Other participants included Powerhouse Company, KCAP, Mecanoo, The Cloud Collective, Arkizon, Vorksop, SO?, Dome, Salon2 and Heren5.

Angie Abbink worked together with AboutBlank, Braaksma & Roos and Cinici mimarlik on a proposal for an Open Community Urban Village in Kartal, with an emphasis on the Walkable Sustainable City. The team will be continuing this project as a research protype for sustainable urban development.
